Salsa dance king Rick Mangram spices up Chicago Latin Film Festival

CHICAGO -- January 21, 2010 – Salsa and the Chicago Latin Film Festival have always been a good combination – now the ties are a little closer.

Rick Mangram, one of Chicago’s leading and most exciting Salsa instructors and president of Hoton1salsa.com, will be offering a free Salsa class before the after party of the 26th Annual Chicago Latin Film Festival. The class will take place tonight, at 9 p.m., at La Encantada, located on 3437 W. North Ave, where the after party will also be.

“The attendees of one of the Latin community’s most impressive events will be able to see what Hoton1salsa is all about and what makes our dancing techniques popular in the city of Chicago,” says Mangram. “This is really big for us!”

Mangram states that Hoton1salsa.com is already gaining more respect and influence in the Latin community, and he hopes this event will lead to a new partnership with the film festival.

The 45-minute dance lesson is free and open to all attendees and supporters, and Mangram hopes that attracts more students to his dances classes which are held on Monday’s at 7:30 p.m. at Zocalo Restaurant, 358 W. Ontario in Chicago, on every other Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Alhambra Palace Restaurant at1240 W. Randolph St. in Chicago and on Friday’s at 8:30 p.m. at Alejandra’s Mexican Restaurant, 400 E. North Ave. in west suburban Northlake.

After the dance class, attendants can enjoy the Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and other Tropical rhythms until 2 a.m.
